Meet Dag Anders, one of the teachers at IPTA. He has worked as a personal trainer since 2002, and is passionate about personal health and fitness, judo, CrossFit and triathlon.

1. What do you like the most about your job as a teacher?

I love teaching new students and giving them the tools and help to understand the whole concept about being a personal trainer, together with all the important smaller details that could change the game. Sharing the enthusiasm over a certain topic, good conversation and questions, and being their biggest supporter in their early start of their career.

2. What makes Marbella such an ideal place if you want to become a personal trainer?

Marbella is an amazing place to study to become a personal trainer. The fantastic climate allows the students to see a bigger range of possibilities when training outside. Personal training is about finding the best solutions for your client at home, on the beach, in the garden or in the gym. You need to master them all. If you want to work in Marbella as a Personal Trainer, you will experience more than you ever will at an ordinary gym in Scandinavia.

3. How do you help the students to perform at their best?

I guide and encourage them to believe in themselves together with giving them tips and tricks from my more than 20 years of experience as a professional trainer. This makes them work better and puts them on the top of the game from day 1. I love to challenge their knowledge and experience – so they will find the right answers in themselves.

4. Any good advice before joining IPTA?

Make sure you have a good record/experience from sports/gym training, and be well prepared – credibility and knowledge are critical success factors. Stay humble no matter who your client is.
